Pictured are a herd of alpacas that was acquired by the Long Island Game Farm and exhibited on the first day of the Game Farm’s 46th season on April 8.

Just in time for the grand opening of its 46th season on April 8, the Long Island Game Farm showed visitors its newly acquired alpacas as part of its expanding animal exhibit. The Game Farm received the animals from the Ceruti family of Shoreham, who have been longtime friends of the Game Farm. The Cerutis donated their backyard pet alpaca herd, consisting of Rosie and her yearling Robbie; Sophie and her yearling Rusty; Gracie and her yearling Zoe; and one female named Melanie. The Long Island Game Farm Welcomes Three Baby American Blackbelly Sheep to Its Tight-Knit Family

Just over one month ago, the Long Island Game Farm – Wildlife Park & Children’s Zoo welcomed two fluffy Blackbelly sheep into its enormous family—one female and one male. Retired Firefighter Builds Hammock for Long Island Game Farm’s Gibbons

Long Island Game Farm Staff and Visitors Gather to Celebrate Clifford the Giraffe’s Seventh Birthday!

On July 6, visitors to the Long Island Game Farm joined the Game Farm’s Vice President/Co-Owner, Melinda Novak, and Animal Lecturer Nicole Robinson to celebrate Clifford the giraffe’s seventh birthday. As part of the celebration, Clifford enjoyed his birthday “cake” as everyone sang to him “Happy Birthday.” After the celebration, Ms. Novak and Ms. Robinson answered questions from the visitors about Clifford.
