Opening Day and Earth Day Celebration
Saturday, April 19, 2008 (rain date:Sunday, April 20, 2008). This year's grand
opening will feature an Earth
Day Celebration. There will
be plenty of activities for
the kids to take part of during
the event. The first 100 kids
to enter the park will get
a Wild About Earth Day Educational
Activity Book. There will be "I Love the Earth" tattoos available for all. There will also be "Earth Day Starts with Me!" wrist ribbons, "Care for the Earth" lollipops and Earth Day pencils provided. A "Plant Your Own seeds" table will also be providing sunflower seeds with soil and cups; courtesy of

the event. What better way
to celebrate Earth Day than
learning about the environment and animals of the world.

Autism Awareness Day
This summer, the Game Farm will host its annual Autism Awareness Day, which raises funds for summer camp programs at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck, the health camp for handicapped children in Center Moriches. The Game Farm will donate to the camp 50 percent of the proceeds from the sale of special tickets prior to the event. The camp will also receive $2 from each adult ticket and $1 from each child ticket sold at the gate on the day of the event (to be announced).
Save the Cats Day
The annual Save The Cats Day benefit Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue in Port Jefferson, with a portion of the day's ticket sales donated to the organization. Volunteers from Save-A-Pet, a no-kill shelter established in 1994, will bring dozens of cats and kittens to the Game Farm and park guests can choose to adopt their own. Guests can pick out a cat or kitten, fill out the necessary paperwork and put the animal on hold until arrangements for pick up can be made.
The Game Farm’s events calendar is being finalized. Check back for more details.
