On July 29, all day, the park will feature admissions prices from it’s first decade in business. Tickets will cost $3.90/adult and $1.95/child (+tax). When The Long Island Game Farm – Wildlife Park & Children’s Zoo first opened 46 years ago, life on Long Island was much easier and cost-effective. Houses sold for an average of $30,000; milk was $1.15 per gallon and gas was a mere 36 cents per gallon. Long Island Game Farm Rolls Back Admission Prices for 1970s Day

It was the year 1970. Apollo 13 was launched toward the moon, the United States celebrated its very first Earth Day, and the voting age was lowered to 18. A new house sold for $30,000, milk was $1.15 per gallon, and it cost a mere 36 cents a gallon to fill up your car’s gas tank.
