The Park Invites Guests to Join in on Summer Shows and Events
[MANORVILLE, NEW YORK] –– Summer just around the corner, and the upcoming activities and events at the Long Island Game Farm — Wildlife Park & Children’s Zoo are in endless supply. From annual discount days and other special events, to the return of old friends and the introduction of new ones, the Long Island Game Farm is set to make its 49th Season the most exciting yet.
Summer Animals Have Arrived: The park’s summer animals, including Clifford the giraffe, camels and the vast array of lemurs, are have arrived at the Long Island Game Farm! Guests can visit these animals starting this weekend!
David Rosaire and His Pekingese Pups on our Main Stage: David Rosaire and his pups return to the Game Farm this year, beginning Friday, May 25. These furry friends are set to perform on the main stage every day at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. and the show is free with park admission. Watch the Pekingese pups put on an elaborate show — full of jumps, slides and obeying outrageous commands, which many have dubbed as one of the world’s greatest dog acts of all time.
Wallaby Naming Day: A day to celebrate the naming of the park’s new Wallaby, with fun activities and free bags of popcorn, juice boxes and free face painting for the kids from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Leading up to the event, which will take place on Saturday, June 16, the public can vote on name from a series of public submissions on the Long Island Game Farm’s Facebook page. The winning name will be announced at the event. The person who submitted the winning name will receive two free park admissions and a Wallaby Encounter. Two runners up will also receive a Wallaby Encounter.
Father’s Day: Half-priced admission to all dad’s that visit the park on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17. The purchase of a full-priced ticket is required.
Clifford’s Birthday: The Long Island Game Farm is inviting the public to celebrate its beloved giraffe’s special day on Saturday, July 7. During this event, the park’s attendees will help the staff sing “Happy Birthday” to Clifford as well as give him his (animal safe) birthday “cake” at 12 p.m.
1970’s Day: Long Island Game Farm is bringing back its 1970’s Admission Price Day, AKA 1970’s Day, for the fourth year in a row. On Saturday, July 28, (Rain Date: Sunday, July 29) all day, the park will feature admissions prices from its first decade in business. Tickets will cost $3.90 per adult and $1.95 per child (+tax). This is an unbeatable price that only comes along once a year.
Founder’s Day – Family Appreciation Day: To honor Stanley and Diane Novak, the founders of the Long Island Game Farm, and to thank the visitors that have kept the park going for 49 years, the park is throwing its Second Annual Founder’s Day celebration on Saturday, August 11 (Rain Date: August 12). All day long, admission will be $6 (+tax) per adult and one free child admission per adult (each additional child is $6 (+tax).
Beginning Wednesday, May 23, the Long Island Game Farm – Wildlife Park & Children’s Zoo will be open seven days per week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
