Long Island Game Farm Helps Launch “Sprout” Preschooler Channel
MANORVILLE, N.Y. — The Long Island Game Farm is proud to announce that it will
be partnering up with PBS to launch
awareness for PBS’s “Sprout” channel
and its “Sprout Smart” website. PBS KIDS Sprout is the
first 24-hour preschool destination
available on TV, on demand and
online for kids ages 2-5 and their parents and caregivers.
Throughout the month of August,
The Long Island Game Farm will
be handing out postcards and posting banners around the zoo to
spread the word about the 24-hour
preschooler channel.
The Long Island
Game Farm is in its 39th
season as the largest combined
children's zoo and wildlife park
on Long Island. They offer families
a natural environment where they can learn about wildlife
and animals through education and
entertainment.
The Sprout channel and Sprout Smart website are
comprehensive, multiplatform
prosocial initiatives that are designed to inspire
parents to connect and communicate
with their preschoolers about
important everyday issues such
as health, nutrition, safety
and social development. Each year on the Sprout Smart website,
a new topic relating to preschool
health and development will
be introduced. Designed to
address
modern day parents' concerns
regarding their preschooler's
health and development, will
feature videos, expert articles and other
resources.
