Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Day at the Game Farm
Manorville, NY – The Long Island Game Farm will host its inaugural Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Day on Saturday, July 28th. The event is being held to raise funds for summer camp programs at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck. Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck is a volunteer supported camp for disabled children in Center Moriches. In the event of inclement weather the rain date is July 29th.
The Long Island Game Farm will donate $1 from each admission ticket sold on July 28th to Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide information about the camp. Over 30 campers will also be on hand to enjoy a day at the park courtesy of the Game Farm.
Long Island Game Farm features hundreds of animals from dozens of different species. The park offers families a natural environment where they can learn about wildlife and animals through education and entertainment. Some of the animals at the park are: kangaroos, cougars, kinkajous, alligators, aoudads, bison, camels, monkeys, tigers, and zebras.
Located on the shores of Kaler’s pond in eastern Suffolk, Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck was founded by the Rotary Club of the Moriches in 1946. At the camp the children participate in activities designed for those with mental and physical disabilities ranging from swimming, boating, arts and crafts, talent shows and cook-outs. The camp also provides educational activities that include nature, arts, fire safety and communication skills.
Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck has been turning the dreams of Long Island’s disabled children into reality for over half a century. Each summer, hundreds of youngsters come to enjoy week-long sessions of summer fun at its 37-acre site.

About Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck
Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck was created by members of the Moriches Rotary Club in 1946. Located on the shores of Kaler's Pond on eastern Long Island, Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck is funded entirely by donations and is a special place where children with physical and developmental disabilities can experience first hand the pleasures that an active life has to offer. Children participate in a wide range of activities especially designed for youngsters who are in wheelchairs as well as those who are ambulatory.
