New ‘Kindergarten Kats’ Show Takes Center Stage

MANORVILLE, N.Y. — The Long Island Game Farm is proud to present a new exhibition at their 500-person amphitheater, Kindergarten Kats – the new Toddler Tiger show for 2007!

The show features toddler tigers in a variety of colors: standard, tabby and white, all between the ages of nine months and one year. It is world-famous tiger-tamer John Campolongo's intent to demonstrate, over the course of the summer, how tigers behave naturally and how he can shape their natural behaviors and impulses into formal tricks and stunts, teaching yearling tigers how to sit, stay and lick and, ultimately, perform. This educational and entertaining show will also stress conservation of the endangered big cats.

Kindergarten Kats featuring Toddler Tigers will run through the summer from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day (May 26th to September 3rd) with showings twice daily, and three times each day during weekends and holidays. The show times are 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays and 12:00, 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekends.

Between shows, visitors will also be able to get within four feet of the animals at the Game Farm's outdoor "Big Cat Habitat," where they can see a pair of yearling male lions. Throughout the summer season, guests will be able to hear lectures on the importance of saving endangered lion and tiger species.

"We are very pleased to have the Kindergarten Kats at the Game Farm for the first time this year. John Campolongo is a wonderful performer and we are quite excited to watch these tigers as they mature under his training," said Diane Novak, Co-Owner of the Long Island Game Farm.
