Visit The Long Island Game Farm For Your Next Field Trip
The Long Island Game Farm is the perfect destination for your next field trip, offering both a fun atmosphere and educational animal lessons. The Game Farm also has discounted group rates that make the daylong trip worthwhile, with unique hands-on learning activities for children of all ages.
The Game Farm is conveniently located off Exit 70 on the Long Island Expressway, and has been a renowned field trip destination for Nassau and Suffolk County school children for over 40 years. Children love learning when it comes to animals. The park features hundreds of exotic and farm animals every season, including zebras, cougars, Barbados sheep, alligators, and ring-tailed lemurs.
There are certain areas around the Game Farm that are designated for specific learning activities. In Bambiland, children can pet and feed deer. MacDonald’s Farm allows children to get a glimpse of life on a farm as they take a look at the variety of pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits and ponies. The Nursery is a part of the Game Farm where children can pet, hold and bottle-feed baby goats and lambs.
For the full-day trips, classes can enjoy lunch in the Game Farm’s spacious Woodlands Gardens Private Picnic Area, complete with a tent and picnic tables. For an additional fee, the park can provide your group with portable restrooms and electricity.
Please book your field trip at least one week in advance. Make your reservation and pay in full by March 31st and get a free ride ticket for each child in your group! The ride ticket is good for the carousel, tea cup or mini train ride.
